Lent Devotional and Playlist

Thank you for participating in Lent. Starting on Ash Wednesday (March 5th) and ending on the Saturday before Easter Sunday, Lent is a period of 40 days observed by many Christians all around the world. During this season, we are invited be renewed spiritually through two practices: 1) denial and 2) faithful action.

  • Denial: Consider what you may want to give up so that you can make space to connect more with God and yourself. Ideas might include: chocolate, social media, purchasing non-essential items, etc. If you are choosing to fast, remember to consult with your physician for guidance.

  • Faithful Action: As we deny or abstain from things, space is created for us to renew ourselves spiritually. Connect with God through the Lent Devotional, which provides daily scriptures, engaging perspectives, and reflective prompts on how we can seek God’s vision for our world. As you respond to God’s heart, take action to love people, to pray, and to extend mercy to others.

The Lent Devotional was created in partnership with CBF (Cooperative Baptist Fellowship). You’ll find new and familiar voices in this devotional, including our very own Pastor Jon Eng.

Church Membership

We believe in membership as a healthy way to participate in a local church. While all people are welcome to attend services and connect in community, membership expresses a shared commitment to live out God’s purposes together. Church membership at Union helps to develop community belonging, commitment to church vision and mission, and mutual accountability between the church, its leaders, and its members.
